PROFILE

Kyngdom launched Amzel Bboc in the fall of 2013.  Named in honor of her mother, AmzeL Bboc is the eponym of Lezma Cobb, the inspiration behind the brand.  Born in Virginia, her interest in design was shaped through music and art.  "I started sewing doll clothes as a pre-teen after watching my grandmother and great aunts back home.  I was influenced by the freedom and unique details of their designs, but it was my mother's aptitude and art direction of their creations that truly caught my eye."  Kyngdom developed her design skills over the course of 11 years while living between New York and Virginia where she worked alongside celebrity stylists. 

 Nightlife, street style, couture fashion, art, Pop & Urban culture are some of Kyngdom’s inspirations. "I first think of the individual in terms of their uniqueness when I design.  What stands out on or for them, may not be the same for me or others.  I love to see people embrace their individuality.  It’s refreshing.   I design pieces to be timeless.  I am a fiend for those good pieces that you pull out of the closet every now and again, and that is what I aim to create for my clients.”
